A strong partnership with Pampana Communications makes it possible for SLWS to make available the best children's books to our readership.
Pampana Communications Publishing was established in 2018 after its founder and proprietor had worked for over fifteen years as a writing coach, trainer, editor and children book developer. Besides whole book publishing, Pampana provides other book development related services like coaching, training, and mentoring of writers; editing, copy editing, proof reading, illustration and design. Pampana publishes mainly children literature for both general readership and for specific target groups, including the marginalised and vulnerable, like girl school dropouts. But with its partner, the Sierra Leonean Writers Series (SLWS ), the largest book publisher in Sierra Leone, produces other publications including school textbooks. Some of SLWS's school texts have been adopted by the West Africa Examination Council (WAEC), the sub-regional examining body, and used in schools across English speaking West Africa by students taking the West African School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) and the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in Sierra Leone.
