How is this possible? It is for this and many more before, that I am not too sad, Eljay has left us. Pain he had, but pain never again will he feel. Fatima! Eljay would always ask of my daughter, with whom he shared a common problem. Imagine if he didn't write books! Oh no, what a loss of knowledge that would have been. May his soul RIP.

Warm condolences to professor Johnson's family on the very sad passing of our friend and colleague, Eljay.
We will all miss him greatly but trust that in his own way, as is our custom, that he will "stay well, stay in touch".

Professor Lemuel Johnson's passing away is, indeed, a loss for humanity, and for sierra Leone particularly, a national tragedy. Such news paralyzes the writer. LJ has left us for his 'higher residence' but he left us with both the intellectual and moral armour, the inspiration to continue the struggle to find ourselves. If a great man like LJ can go, this must jolt us into the realization of our mortality, and inspire all of us to do that which helps society move in a healthy direction. May his soul rest in perfect peace. My condolences to the family.

This forum should dedicate a day, probably march 23rd, to eulogizing (or something in our own way on Leonenet) ElJay. He was good for this forum: always above but in the fray!!! Witty yet subtle!!! Accomplished yet humble!!! On the 23rd, whatever burning issue you may have should be delayed in deference to ElJay!!! It will be nice to get 150 "clever" e-mails on that day from AKB etc.
As the man will say, "just musing."
